"Small spyglass combined with a sewing kit (length 11.5 cm). Covered spiroidly with green coloured and polished lizard leather between silver fittings. Unsigned, but attributed to Thomas Ribright, who according to a 1749-patent had the exclusive right of producing this kind of luxurious telescopes with accessories. Third quarter of the eighteenth century" (Louwman and Zuidervaart, 2013).
