"English telescope. Main tube covered with grey coloured ray skin. Five drawtubes covered with green coloured leather. Gold tooling resembling Turner (1966), no. 23b and ‘roll’ 1 and 2. Ivory ferrules and end pieces. Presumably first half of the eighteenth century" (Louwman and Zuidervaart, 2013).
